Sorb pack

Sorb-Pack™ is a moisture absorbing pad capable of trapping and retaining bio fluids, water and humidity. Sorb-Pack™ can be used as single small inlay for food trays or as drip and melt water absorption pad in seafood boxes. The absorption and retention capabilities offer a solution for the most common problems in packaging fresh meats, poultry and seafood.

Sorb-Pack™ is built up of a laminate of PET and PE, Super absorber granules and a permeable non-woven. The non-woven allows moisture to penetrate the cells. The super absorber traps the moisture and contains it even under pressure. Sorb-Pack™ is available in various configurations.

Sorb-Pack™ key advantages include:

Sorb-Pack™ complies with the safety regulations of the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC and the following standards: NEN-EN 1050, NEN-EN 1041, NEN-EN 13485. Migration tests on Flex-ice were found to be in compliance with Commission Regulation (EU) no. 10/2011, including amendments, related to plastic materials and articles intended to come in contact with food.
